Dear Sir or Madam

Re: Carriageway Resurfacing Scheme – A287 Lord Derby Roundabout, North Warnborough
Area Director, Highways and Transport
Brian Millen BSc CEng MICE
Director of Environment
Alison Quant BSc MSc MRTPI

I am writing to inform you of my intention to undertake carriageway resurfacing and strengthening of the A287 Lord Derby Roundabout – North Warnborough.

The works shall be carried out under phased closures with manned traffic control and are programmed to start 06 August 2007 taking approximately 5 days to complete, weather permitting.

In order for the roundabout to be completed as safely and quickly as possible the B3349 Hook Road between the Lord Derby Roundabout and the Priors Corner Roundabout at the junction with Dunleys Hill will be closed to through traffic. Access/Egress for residents and businesses will only be possible from the Priors Corner Roundabout end of Hook Road.

The working hours shall be between 19:00 – 06:00. The roundabout and B3349 will be open for normal use during the day, although due to raised ironwork in the road and ramps a temporary speed limited of 30mph will be in force day and night for the duration of the works. Drivers are advised to proceed carefully through the roundabout during this period.

My Contractor, Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services Limited wishes to express that they are unable to undertake any private work associated with this scheme.

Should you have any queries about these works please contact my assistant Martyn Milner at this office.

Yours faithfully

Steve Pellatt
